THE REAL IMAGINARY

I must confess that I'm not a full-time musician—I’m a coder by day and a troubadour by night. To me, writing code and composing songs are equally creative and exciting pursuits, both living in the spaces between reality and imagination. My project, The Real Imaginary reflects my existential duality; the resulting music is honest, dark, and hopeless—and I wouldn't have it any other way.

My influences range from Leonard Cohen, Bob Dylan, Bruce Springsteen, Paul Simon to The Beatles, Crowded House, U2, Radiohead, and The National. I'm particularly drawn to the voices of Otis Redding, Jeff Buckley, Art Garfunkel, John Lennon, Neil Finn, and Jagjit Singh.
